Thoughts on breeding

First of all – we don’t call ourselves breeder – we are just enthusiasts of the Breed Braque Saint Germain. A breeder has to or can take other goals or priorities because of his philosophy of breeding as we do. We center not only the dog parents, who has to meet our demands in a remarkable degree, but also the breeding lines and the ancestors, who should convince as much as the dog parents. To rank first is the health of the dog, because this means the base of it all. Unfortunately even with the best breeding plan You cannot guarantee always a healthy dog, but at least so we try to avoid possible difficulties from the first. Then comes the character, this represents the foundation for the cohabitation and the training of the dog. Furthermore: the performance of the parent dogs and the ancestors. It is important for us to follow the working lines and to encourage them further. But we want to emphasize that we set a high value on species-appropriate activities and work according to his genetic traits, which can also be done by non-hunters (we didn’t start as hunters neither).
And of course we would be happy about passed exams J
